Much like all Elite turbo trainers, the Crono Mag Elastogel is easy to set up and fold away. Because it comes pre-assembled, setting up the Elite Crono Mag Elastogel turbo trainer will only take a few minutes and little effort which is an unusual pleasure.
The Elite Crono Mag Elastogel Frame
In terms of design, the revolutionary Crono frame, with its compass structure, uses the riders weight to ensure constant contact with the roller. This allows the cyclist to move around on the bike, better simulating the feel of real riding, all whilst offering a stable support platform. This differs from the classic kind of frame and also has the added bonus of not having any bolt or spring plate to adjust.
Much like the name suggests, the Elite Crono Mag ElastoGel Turbo Trainer has an Elastogel roller which means better distribution of tyre pressure and thus an improved tyre grip. In fact, this greater adherence to the tyre subsequently decreases the Elite Crono Mags noise by 50% when compared to a turbo trainer with an aluminium roller. The combination of the Crono frame and the Elastogel roller ensures maximum refinement and makes for an incredibly smooth pedal action which reduces wear by 20%. Less noise, less wear brilliant!
The sturdy design of the Elite Crono Mag ElastoGel Turbo Trainer means that you can stand up without any lateral movement during those intense training sessions. It is however vital for you to level the bike off with a block under the front wheel to keep it steady.
The magnetic resistance unit has a 5 position twist action resistance adjuster which easily mounts on the handlebars. The adjuster fits bar diameters from 25.4 to 31.8 mm with a clamp that has a quick release. The resistance on the Elite Crono Mag Elastogel is generated by powerful magnets placed on the flywheel and two discs that cross its magnetic field. The speed of rotation of the flywheel increases as the speed of rotation of the bicycle wheel increases and offers an inertia that can make the pedalling round and progressive.
