Full Review of the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer
Perfect for: serious cyclists who spend a lot of time on their turbo trainer doing long, steady training sessions.
The CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer is a high quality turbo trainer and would make an excellent choice for anyone looking for a mid range trainer that will last for years.
You’ll be off instantly on the Jet Fluid Pro
It comes with the typical out-of-the-box usability that CycleOps is renowned for and that previous owners of various Tacx models will really appreciate. As with most CycleOps turbo trainers, you will be up and running on the Jet Fluid Pro within a matter of minutes and not hours.
The CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer still belongs in the realm of unintelligent turbo trainers, meaning it doesnt have power output or a computer connection. This isnt necessarily a bad thing as it means you can just jump on and get on with your indoor cycle training without messing around with your set up.
The clamp and frame come with an overload locking feature that stops you from over-tightening the frame which really helps prolong the life of the turbo trainer. Youll also be able to hit those out of the saddle sprints without as much as a wobble.
The ride on the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer itself is faultless. The resistance curve on the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer is absolutely great and the ride is a smooth as any Ive come across. It feels very natural when accelerating to higher speeds.
The CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer has a large enough resistance range to cover all but the most extreme indoor training sessions, and is perfect for those long hard stamina building sessions.
As far as noise goes, the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer ranks up there with the quietest trainers that I have used and is certainly fine for indoor use. Youre not going to be annoying the neighbours with your CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro. It is also great for training in the early morning as there is no risk of you waking other people up.
How the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro keeps you cool
CycleOps have included the airflow channel used on the CycleOps Fluid2 turbo trainer which keeps the radiator fins on the resistance unit a lot cooler than on similar turbo trainers on the market. This causes less wear and tear and is another reason that the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer will last you a long time.
This cooling feature also means that the resistance on the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer is as consistent as possible.
One negative I must mention is the bulk of the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer. If you only have a very small confined storage space or need to take your turbo trainer to races so that you can warm up or down on it then you might want to consider looking at a few others.
What we think of the CycleOps Jet Fluid Pro Turbo Trainer

The best price we could find it for is £267.74 from Evans Cycles. Open the Evans Cycles Online Store here to see this deal.
